Meme lore
What is the Old Guy PC meme?
The Old Guy PC template shows an older man seated at a laptop with a mug of coffee. The upper panel shows him focused on the computer, while the lower panel shows him smiling toward the viewer. Captions commonly frame the computer activity as something he enthusiastically or naively approves of.
Origin & history
This template is built from a two-shot stock-photo sequence featuring an elderly man working at a laptop in a bright home setting. Its meme identity comes from the contrast between the upper image, where he appears engaged with the computer, and the lower image, where he gives a direct, approving smile. Specific original publication and first viral spread details are unclear.
