Meme lore
What is the Dario Amodei Serious Portrait meme?
A square portrait reaction template showing a serious, unsmiling man in glasses. Add a setup or claim above the face and a blunt, confident, or deadpan response below it.
Origin & history
This appears to be a cropped portrait of Dario Amodei, the technology executive associated with Anthropic. Its use as a meme template relies on the subject’s fixed, intensely serious expression rather than on a known multi-panel format. The precise photograph source and first meme circulation are unclear.
