Meme lore
What is the Epic Handshake (Predator Painting) meme?
Predator Handshake, also called Epic Handshake, is an object-labeling format based on the memorable handshake between Dutch and Dillon in the 1987 action film Predator. The two sides are labeled with separate groups, ideas, or situations, while the handshake represents shared agreement, cooperation, or common ground.
Origin & history
The composition depicts the exaggerated arm-and-hand clasp associated with the Dutch and Dillon handshake in Predator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers. Online versions commonly place one label on each side to express an unexpectedly strong connection or shared opinion; this particular image is a stylized painted rendition rather than a direct film still.
