Meme lore
What is the Get This Man A Shield meme?
This reaction template uses T’Challa’s intense gesture and commanding expression to frame a humorous demand. Replace the implied command with a person, object, privilege, or solution that someone urgently needs or deserves.
Origin & history
The visual is a cropped, letterboxed Marvel film still featuring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa. Its familiar caption convention draws on the Avengers: Infinity War moment in which T’Challa calls for a shield for Captain America, turning the gesture into a reusable command format. Exact original meme authorship is unclear.
