Meme lore
What is the Conspiracy Keanu meme?
Conspiracy Keanu is a two-caption reaction template built around a startled still of young Keanu Reeves. The top caption introduces an unusual what-if premise, while the bottom caption delivers an absurd, pseudo-profound, or conspiratorial conclusion.
Origin & history
The still depicts a young Keanu Reeves in a film scene, commonly associated with his early acting work and later circulated online as the Conspiracy Keanu reaction image. Its meme format developed through image macros that placed short white captions above and below the close-up portrait, presenting ridiculous premises as mind-expanding revelations. Precise details about the first meme upload are unclear.
