Meme lore
What is the Dennis Nedry And Lewis Dodgson Restaurant Scene meme?
This two-panel Jurassic Park reaction template shows Lewis Dodgson animatedly trying to engage Dennis Nedry during their outdoor restaurant meeting. It is commonly used for jokes where one person enthusiastically presents an idea, announcement, or scheme while the other person appears unimpressed, distracted, or uninterested.
Origin & history
The template uses two shots from Dennis Nedry's meeting with Lewis Dodgson in Jurassic Park. Dodgson, played by Cameron Thor, is visibly animated in a tropical restaurant setting, while Nedry, played by Wayne Knight, remains comparatively reserved. Meme captions repurpose that contrast for situations involving an enthusiastic speaker and an unresponsive audience.
