Meme lore
What is the Suspicious Fry meme?
Suspicious Fry is a reaction-image template featuring Philip J. Fry squinting with an uncertain, distrustful expression. It is commonly paired with contrasting or ambiguous captions, especially variations of “Not sure if X...” and “or Y.”
Origin & history
The template uses a still of Philip J. Fry, voiced by Billy West, from Futurama. Fry’s narrowed eyes and doubtful expression make the frame useful for captions about suspicion, uncertainty, mixed signals, or situations that could be interpreted in two ways. The image contains no baked-in caption text.
