Meme lore
What is the Principal Skinner Thinking meme?
This two-panel Simpsons template features Principal Skinner shifting from a pensive hand-on-chin pose to an awkward, wide-eyed stance. Add a single caption describing a person, idea, or situation that appears to be thinking deeply but ends up uncertain or unprepared.
Origin & history
The template consists of two consecutive-looking frames of Principal Skinner outdoors: first appearing to deliberate with his hand on his chin, then facing forward with a more exposed and uneasy expression. It is commonly repurposed as a visual shorthand for overthinking, reconsidering a decision, or losing confidence after acting certain.
