Meme lore
What is the Change My Mind meme?
Change My Mind is a debate-themed meme template based on Steven Crowder sitting at a table with a sign inviting people to challenge a stated opinion. Users place a provocative, humorous, overly specific, or ironically unquestionable claim on the blank sign.
Origin & history
The format is associated with Steven Crowder's 2018 “Change My Mind” appearances, in which he sat at a table with a sign presenting a claim for public debate. Online users adapted the recognizable sign layout into a reusable image macro for hot takes, jokes, and deliberately indefensible opinions.
