Meme lore
What is the Inside You There Are Two Wolves meme?
A two-wolf inner-conflict meme template based on the familiar setup that two opposing forces exist inside one person. Label each wolf with a competing desire, habit, or personality trait, then use the bottom area for the punchline, winner, or unexpected consequence.
Origin & history
The image uses a dramatic black-and-white composition of two wolves confronting one another in front of a full moon, topped with the phrase “INSIDE YOU THERE ARE TWO WOLVES.” It draws on the popular two-wolves parable, but the original source of this exact image and the precise history of its meme spread are unclear.
