Meme lore
What is the Both Buttons Pressed meme?
Both Buttons Pressed is a variation of the classic Two Buttons format. Instead of sweating over a choice, the character presses both red buttons at once, then appears pleased with the decision. It is used for wanting both options, refusing to compromise, or combining choices that were meant to be exclusive.
Origin & history
This template uses a two-panel cartoon setup: a hand activates two red buttons simultaneously, followed by a smug thumbs-up reaction from the operator. It appears to be derived from the broader internet Two Buttons choice meme, but the precise source and first circulation of this specific artwork are uncertain.
