Meme lore
What is the Two Buttons meme?
Two Buttons, also known as Daily Struggle, is a decision meme format. The upper panel presents two tempting, risky, or conflicting choices, while the lower panel shows the overwhelmed person struggling to decide.
Origin & history
The template uses a two-panel illustration: a hand hovers over two red control buttons, then a flushed and sweating person reacts under pressure. It became reusable online as a visual shorthand for choosing between two undesirable, embarrassing, or equally appealing options. The precise date and original post details are unclear.
