Meme lore
What is the Create Children scared rabbit enfants peur lapin v01 meme?
Kids Scared of Rabbit (also known as Children Scared of Rabbit) is an object-labeling meme showing a young girl and boy cowering in fear from a small black rabbit sitting beside a bucket. The humor comes from panicking over something that looks harmless - labeling the rabbit as whatever threat feels disproportionately scary.
Origin & history
Utah photography studio Camera Shy took the photo during an early 2015 Easter bunny session and posted it to Facebook on March 14, 2015 with the caption 'And sometimes bunny sessions go like this…' The children's parent shared it on Imgur on March 16, 2015, then submitted it to Reddit's /r/photoshopbattles, where it earned thousands of upvotes.
Editors replaced the rabbit with monsters, celebrities, and absurd threats, establishing the format as a reaction image for communities panicking over something benign. The French filename variant ('enfants peur lapin') reflects its spread on European meme generator sites.
