Meme lore
What is the Squid Game Then And Now meme?
This two-panel comparison template contrasts an upbeat or confident “then” state with a lonely, exhausted, or defeated “now” state. Add a short label above each image to frame any before-and-after change, emotional reversal, or loss of optimism.
Origin & history
The left panel shows Oh Il-nam participating in the outdoor game setting while smiling in his green contestant tracksuit. The right panel shows him sitting alone and withdrawn in a blue-toned interior. The juxtaposition is used as a visual shorthand for a dramatic shift from confidence or excitement to burnout, isolation, or disappointment; the specific meme edit has no reliably documented single creator.
