Meme lore
What is the Skips Sitting Next To Grave meme?
The Skips Sitting Next To Grave meme is a two-panel Regular Show image comparing the full friend group at sunset with Skips alone at night beside their tombstones. It jokes about outliving everyone, dark acceptance of consequences, or being the last one left after others move on.
Origin & history
Regular Show (2010–2017) featured Skips as an immortal yeti who works at the park and has lived for centuries. Fan edits and screencaps contrasting the cheerful group hangout with a somber scene of Skips beside graves lean into the show's occasional existential undertones.
The meme took off on Twitter, TikTok, and Reddit as a format for dark acceptance - when you know something bad is coming and sit with it calmly, or when you are the only one still doing something after everyone else has quit. It works for gaming groups, friend circles, and any 'last one standing' scenario.
