What is the El Risitas Laughing meme?
This reaction image features Spanish comedian Juan Joya Borja, known as El Risitas, caught mid-cackle during a television interview. It is commonly paired with captions describing something absurd, embarrassingly unsuccessful, or so funny that the speaker cannot stop laughing, and it is strongly associated with the KEKW reaction.
Origin & history
Juan Joya Borja, popularly known as El Risitas, was a Spanish comedian and television personality whose distinctive laugh made clips and screenshots of his interviews highly reusable as reaction content. The still image shows him laughing intensely in a brightly lit studio setting; later internet usage detached it from the original interview context and turned it into a general-purpose reaction template.
