Meme lore
What is the IQ Bell Curve meme?
A three-part Wojak template based on a normal distribution chart. The two ends represent supposedly simple or intuitive conclusions, while the center represents a person who overcomplicates the same idea with elaborate reasoning. Captions are typically placed by the low-IQ, midwit, and high-IQ figures.
Origin & history
This image combines the familiar normal-distribution bell curve diagram with three Wojak-style figures: a simple-faced figure at the low end, a crying intellectual figure at the center, and a hooded figure at the high end. It is part of the broader Midwit meme format, whose precise first source is unclear and which spread through imageboards and social media as a way to mock overcomplication or performative expertise.
