Meme lore
What is the I Don’t Think About You At All meme?
This two-panel Mad Men template pairs an upper-panel remark framed as concern or pity with a lower-panel response that dismisses the speaker completely. It works best for jokes about ignoring criticism, envy, drama, or an issue that supposedly occupies someone else’s attention.
Origin & history
The still is based on a scene from the television drama Mad Men in which Michael Ginsberg tells Don Draper, “I feel bad for you,” and Draper answers, “I don’t think about you at all.” The contrast between the sympathetic setup and the emotionally flat reply made the exchange adaptable as a captioned two-panel reaction format. Exact details about when the image first became a standardized meme template are unclear.
