Meme lore
What is the Brain Monitoring the Situation meme?
This reaction image shows a man standing with one hand on his hip while intently watching a computer monitor. It is commonly used as a two-caption meme about monitoring events, waiting for an outcome, or observing suspicious activity without intervening.
Origin & history
The photograph appears to be taken in an exam-room or testing-facility setting, based on the wall signs warning against electronic-device use and indicating a restroom or room designation. The person, original photographer, and earliest online spread are unclear; the image was later reused as a captioned reaction meme.
