Meme lore
What is the Squidward Watching Through Blinds meme?
A SpongeBob SquarePants reaction template showing Squidward peering through window blinds at SpongeBob and Patrick. It is commonly used for jokes about watching others have fun, feeling left out, spying on a situation, or pretending not to care while paying close attention.
Origin & history
The scene is an animated still from SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Squidward looking through partially closed blinds toward SpongeBob and Patrick. Online meme use repurposes the composition as a visual metaphor for observing someone else's activity from a distance, often with envy, curiosity, or reluctant interest.
