What is the Hide Yo Kids Hide Yo Wife meme?
This single-image reaction template features Antoine Dodson during his emphatic local-news interview about a home intruder. It is used for urgent-sounding warnings, exaggerated advice, and dramatic reactions to everyday problems.
Origin & history
Antoine Dodson was interviewed after an attempted home intrusion involving his family. Clips of his animated delivery circulated widely online in 2010, especially around the phrases “Hide yo kids, hide yo wife” and “run and tell that.” The Gregory Brothers’ musical adaptation helped cement the clip’s broader internet presence, while this still-image format developed through later meme sharing.
