Meme lore
What is the Advice Dog meme?
Advice Dog is the original Advice Animal: a smiling puppy head (TEM’s dog Boba Fett) on a rainbow pinwheel. Top line is a situation; bottom is unethical, impractical, or nonsense advice. This blank is the uncaptioned rainbow still — the template that spawned Courage Wolf, Philosoraptor, and the rest.
Origin & history
TEM / Evan Herrington, The Mushroom Kingdom, 2006-09-07 (dog Boba Fett on a rainbow wheel). Meme: YTMND 2006, 4chan 2008, Advice Animals 2009 (Know Your Meme: Advice Dog). This PNG is a 250×250 JPEG of the uncaptioned template.
