Meme lore
What is the Carlos Prates Celebratory Back Control Pose meme?
A vertically framed UFC reaction image showing one fighter seated in front while another embraces him from behind. The unusual combination of a dominant grappling position and a calm, almost posed expression works for captions about being trapped, unexpectedly supported, or claiming credit for someone else's success.
Origin & history
This is a sports photograph taken inside the UFC cage, apparently depicting Carlos Prates in front of Leon Edwards during a post-fight celebration or pose. The image's exact event context is suggested by the catalog reference and fighter identification, but the original photographer, first meme use, and spread timeline are unclear.
