Meme lore
What is the Calling The Police meme?
Calling The Police is a reaction-image template featuring a serious-looking man apparently making a phone call. Add a minor offense or irritating situation as the setup, then use the image to imply that the situation is so unacceptable that the police must be contacted.
Origin & history
This appears to be a candid photograph of a man wearing glasses and a turquoise striped polo shirt while holding a mobile phone in a crowded indoor setting. The image became associated with mock threats to call the police, but the precise original source and earliest popular upload are uncertain.
