Meme lore
What is the 20 Minute Adventure meme?
The 20 Minute Adventure template pairs Rick's reassuring promise of a short trip with a chaotic, exhausted return. The top panel represents an optimistic plan, while the bottom panel is used for the painful or disastrous reality that follows.
Origin & history
The source images are scenes from Rick and Morty featuring Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith. The upper scene shows Rick inviting Morty through a portal, while the lower scene depicts the pair looking worn out inside a spacecraft. Online meme versions commonly preserve or adapt Rick's promise of a brief adventure to frame a plan-versus-reality joke.
