Meme lore
What is the And I Took That Personally meme?
This reaction template pairs a calm interview image of Michael Jordan with the signature phrase “...and I took that personally.” Add a minor slight, inconvenience, or challenge above the image to humorously frame it as powerful personal motivation.
Origin & history
The visual is associated with Michael Jordan discussing competitive motivation in The Last Dance, a documentary series about his career and the Chicago Bulls. Meme versions commonly place a small grievance or everyday annoyance in the upper caption area while retaining the burned-in declaration at the bottom.
