Meme lore
What is the The Cooler Daniel meme?
The Cooler Daniel is a comparison template featuring an ordinary portrait labeled “Daniel” beside a cooler-looking version labeled “The cooler Daniel.” It is used to humorously present an upgrade, superior alternative, or more confident version of the same person, object, idea, or situation.
Origin & history
The image appears to be a photograph of a printed yearbook or portrait display. One portrait is paired with a similar portrait edited with sunglasses, while the labels underneath establish the joke: the first is Daniel and the second is the cooler Daniel. The original photographer, publication, and first online circulation are unclear.
