Meme lore
What is the Back To The Future DeLorean Conversation meme?
This template uses a nighttime still from Back to the Future in which Doc Brown sits in the DeLorean and talks with Marty McFly. Captions commonly turn the exchange into a setup-and-response joke about time travel, confusing explanations, changing the past, or an overconfident plan.
Origin & history
The still depicts Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown and Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly beside the time-traveling DeLorean in Back to the Future (1985), directed by Robert Zemeckis. The scene's conversational composition makes it useful as a two-caption reaction format, with an idea or claim above and a skeptical or consequence-focused punchline below.
