What is the Ancient Aliens meme?
Ancient Aliens is a close-up of Giorgio A. Tsoukalos from the History Channel series Ancient Aliens, wild hair, brown suit, both hands raised as if revealing a theory. This blank is the classic interview still with the baked History HD bug in the corner. Captions treat everyday problems as ancient-astronaut proof.
How the joke works: Top names a mundane mystery, coincidence, or perfectly explainable event; bottom is ALIENS, ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS, or “I’m not saying it was aliens… but it was aliens.” Keep Impact off his hands and the History bug.
Where it comes from
History Channel Ancient Aliens (first aired 2010-04-20). This PNG is a 500×436 close-up of Giorgio Tsoukalos gesturing, with a baked History HD bug. Exact episode of this frame is unclear; meme use is documented from November 2010 (Know Your Meme: Ancient Aliens).
When to use it
