Meme lore
What is the Spider-Man Eating a Donut meme?
Spider-Man Eating a Donut shows a person in a Spider-Man costume trying to eat a large donut through the mask while another hand holds it in place. The awkwardly mundane snack break clashes with the superhero costume, making the image work for captions about being unable to wait, taking a break at the wrong time, or discovering that a costume makes a simple task difficult.
Origin & history
The template is a photograph of someone in a Spider-Man costume being offered a large donut. The visual joke comes from the practical mismatch between the mask and an ordinary snack; the image's original source is unclear.
