Meme lore
What is the Please Don't Do This (Phil Mitchell) meme?
This single EastEnders still shows Phil Mitchell looking up at someone just outside the frame with a strained, imploring expression. The original subtitle “Please don't do this.” stays at the bottom as the payoff; add one specific situation across the open top strip to show the decision he is trying to stop.
Origin & history
The frame features Phil Mitchell, the EastEnders character portrayed by Steve McFadden. It preserves the scene's subtitle “Please don't do this.”; the exact episode and the first post that established this specific meme crop are unclear.
