Meme lore
What is the Bathroom Intruder News Report meme?
This is a parody-news reaction template built around an apparently fabricated or digitally altered local-news segment. The serious anchors, composite sketch, and emphatic “BATHROOM INTRUDER?” banner make trivial events feel like an urgent criminal investigation. It works best when the supposed intruder is a pet, coworker, family member, celebrity lookalike, or someone caught doing something mildly suspicious.
Origin & history
The template imitates the visual language of a local television crime report: two composed presenters, a centered studio display, a police-style facial composite, and a sensational headline. The image appears to be an edited or synthetic parody rather than a confirmed still from a documented news program. Available online traces support its identity as a circulating internet meme, but not a definitive account of who created the edit, what footage or stock imagery it used, or where it first appeared. Claims that it depicts a real bathroom-intruder investigation should therefore be treated cautiously.
