Meme lore
What is the So Anyway I Started Blasting meme?
A reaction and escalation template featuring Frank Reynolds from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia holding two handguns. It is used to turn a normal story or minor problem into an absurdly disproportionate response, usually with a calm or matter-of-fact tone.
Origin & history
This still is associated with Danny DeVito's Frank Reynolds on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The image's defining visual joke is Frank casually aiming two guns, paired with the phrase “So anyway I started blasting,” which was incorporated into a popular online caption format for abrupt escalation and overreaction.
