Meme lore
What is the Kanye Smile Then Sad meme?
The format pairs a warm, satisfied Kanye smile with a blank, unhappy expression. Add a setup or hopeful thought to the first panel and the disappointing outcome or emotional reversal to the second.
Origin & history
This template uses two consecutive-looking courtside reaction images of Kanye West, edited into a vertical comparison. Its appeal comes from the strong visual contrast between an open grin and a stern, emotionally drained stare; the precise photographer, game context, and earliest meme posting are unclear.
