Meme lore
What is the Jim Carrey Then vs. Now meme?
Jim Carrey Then vs. Now is a side-by-side: left is a 1990s red-carpet close-up (short dark hair, stubble, black shirt); right is the February 2026 Honorary César look (shoulder-length greying hair, black turtleneck, calmer smile). Used for peak-vs-now and 90s-vs-today jokes. Do not diagnose the person; the joke is the visual contrast.
Origin & history
Left: 1990s red-carpet still of Jim Carrey; exact event is unclear from this crop. Right: Honorary César, L’Olympia, Paris, February 26, 2026. This JPEG is a fan side-by-side of those two photos.
