Meme lore
What is the Brace Yourselves, X Is Coming meme?
This template uses Ned Stark's stern Game of Thrones appearance to frame a simple warning about something expected to arrive soon. Add a setup in the upper caption and name the looming event, trend, or consequence in the lower caption.
Origin & history
The visual is based on Ned Stark, played by Sean Bean in HBO's Game of Thrones, whose House Stark motto and recurring warning about winter became widely recognizable. Meme versions typically place custom text in the open space beside him, adapting the warning to holidays, internet trends, deadlines, and predictable disruptions.
