Meme lore
What is the And I'm Kanye West meme?
And I'm Kanye West uses an animated Kanye West lookalike from Lil Dicky's "Earth" music video. The image lands when one short caption makes an unexpectedly confident introduction or reveals an absurdly important identity; the character's fixed, matter-of-fact pose supplies the sudden entrance.
Origin & history
The source image is a frame from the animated music video for Lil Dicky's "Earth," released in 2019. Although the character is presented as Kanye West, the line is voiced by comedian Kevin Hart. The character's sudden self-introduction and peace-sign pose made the frame useful for unexpected-identity captions.
