Meme lore
What is the Ratatouille Chef Reading Note GIF meme?
A reaction GIF template from Ratatouille showing Linguini nervously reading a note while surrounded by chefs. Add contrasting top and bottom captions to turn his worried, confused expression into a reaction to bad news, awkward instructions, or an unexpected realization.
Origin & history
The visual is a cropped scene from Ratatouille (2007), in which Linguini reads a purple note while appearing uneasy. It became useful as a reaction format because his tired, apprehensive expression supports captions about confusing instructions, ominous messages, and realizing something has gone wrong. The provenance of this particular captionless GIF edit is unclear.
