Designer Suse Bauer created the original Party Parrot animation for the Slack workspace at Suse Studio in 2015, inspired by a real parrot named Nitro. The emoji was uploaded to Slack's custom emoji system and quickly went viral across other companies' workspaces.
Developers copied and remixed versions (Conga Parrot, Fast Parrot, Coffee Parrot) on sites like party-parrot.com and GitHub.
