The image is a 2005 MySpace photo of Blake Boston at a house party in Boston. In January 2011 a Reddit user posted it to r/AdviceAnimals with captions about a guy who borrows things and never returns them; commenters nicknamed him Scumbag Steve, and the template exploded within days.
