I Am The Senate is a Star Wars meme from Revenge of the Sith, when Palpatine tells Mace Windu that the Senate is under his control and later declares "I am the Senate." It is used for jokes about unchecked authority, self-appointed bosses, or one person claiming to speak for an entire group.
Origin & history
Near the end of Revenge of the Sith, Mace Windu and Jedi Masters confront Palpatine in his office. As Windu insists the Chancellor will be removed from office, Palpatine insists he represents the Senate's will, culminating in the absurd power claim that the institution and the man are the same.
